The only image you will find in my home is the cross.
NOT a crucifix, but just a plain cross.
During the "Christmas" season you will also see images of "baby Jesus" in manger scenes at many churches and homes.
You will also see the catholic pope bowing down it and kissing it
and I am not even going to get into the reason behind why the pope kisses it where he does.
Now there are some who see no problem with having a manger scene because they "are not bowing to it or worshiping it" or are they?.
Is it Biblical?
Perhaps it is just "personal convictions" people have.....
Or is there more to it all?
Idols come in many forms and fashions,
Anything can become an idol, but graven images are another level.
No manger scenes or images of "baby Jesus" for me.
Exodus 20:4-6
Thou shalt not make unto thee any graven image, or any likeness of any thing that is in heaven above, or that is in the earth beneath, or that is in the water under the earth.
Thou shalt not bow down thyself to them, nor serve them: for I the Lord thy God am a jealous God, visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and fourth generation of them that hate me;
And shewing mercy unto thousands of them that love me, and keep my commandments.
